At Story House Early Learning, child safety isn’t just a priority, it’s at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for a Child Safety and Compliance Partner to join our team and champion safe, compliant, and high-quality practices across our 57+ services.

This isn’t a desk-bound role. You’ll be on the road every week, travelling across Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria. That means frequent overnight stays and sometimes spending several days at a single service to provide hands-on support. If you love variety, autonomy, and problem-solving, this role is for you.

What you’ll do

  • Ensure national compliance with the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, WHS legislation, and relevant state requirements.
  • Lead the implementation of our Child Safety and Safeguarding Program, ensuring alignment with legislative standards.
  • Maintain accountability for the Medical Management process, including medication records, administration procedures, and staff training, with regular service visits to monitor compliance.
  • Oversee the Risk Assessment Process, ensuring services conduct reviews, act on required changes, and report effectively.
  • Manage quarterly Service Compliance Reporting across all services.
  • Support services with responses to departmental compliance visits, waivers, and improvement notices.
  • Assist with investigations of reportable incidents and escalate as required.
  • Lead the Policy Management process, ensuring updates are effectively communicated and embedded across services.
  • Manage compliance to terms of reference and minutes for the Child Safety and Wellbeing Committee and the Team Safety and Wellbeing Committee.
  •

What you’ll bring

  • Strong knowledge of the NQF, Early Childhood Law & Regulations, WHS legislation, and safeguarding frameworks.
  • Experience supporting services through the Assessment & Rating process.
  • Proven ability to lead child safety, compliance, and risk management programs.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to coach, influence, and build trust.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the confidence to work independently.
  • Flexibility to travel frequently across QLD, NSW, VIC (including overnight/multi-day stays).
  • A valid driver’s licence, Working with Children Check, and Police Check.

Why you’ll love Story House

At Story House, we’re more than a workplace, we’re a community. By joining us, you’ll enjoy:

  • A role that takes you across three states. No two weeks will ever look the same.
  • The chance to drive safety and compliance outcomes that directly impact children, families, and educators.
  • Connection with a values-led organisation that embraces innovation, safety, and celebration.
  • Access to professional development and career growth pathways.
