📍 Sydney & Hunter Valley | Supporting Educators | Enhancing Pedagogical Practice

We are seeking an experienced early childhood professional to take on a dual role supporting both educational leadership and teacher development across our NSW services. This is a Sydney based role with regular travel to the Hunter Valley.

This position initially combines:

  • Three days per week as a Pedagogical Practice Partner (PPP), working alongside Educational Leaders to embed exceeding practices and enhance educational programs.
  • Two days per week as a Lead Teacher Mentor, guiding teachers through NESA accreditation via our Teachers@StoryHouse program and supporting their professional growth.

This position requires regular travel across Sydney and the Hunter Valley, working directly with services to support quality education, continuous improvement, and educator development. Over time, as the Teachers@StoryHouse program becomes more established, this position will transition into a full-time Pedagogical Practice Partner (PPP) role.

Pedagogical Practice Partner (PPP) – 3 days per week

  • Work closely with Educational Leaders and Service Leadership Teams to embed exceeding practices.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to support the continuous improvement of educational programs.
  • Assist services in implementing evidence-based pedagogical practices.
  • Partner with Business Operations Managers to align educational strategies with service priorities.
  • Support services in preparing for assessment and rating processes.

Lead Teacher Mentor – 2 days per week

  • Initially guide teachers through NESA accreditation, ensuring they meet Proficient Teacher requirements.
  • Lead the Teachers@StoryHouse program, providing structured mentoring and professional support.
  • Collaborate with managers to create a service sustainable accreditation program.
  • Assist teachers in documenting their practice and aligning with accreditation requirements.
  • Facilitate professional development, reflective practice, and resource sharing to enhance teaching quality.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent).
  • Full teacher accreditation with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
  • Experience in mentoring teachers and supporting educational leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood pedagogy, curriculum frameworks, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with NESA accreditation requirements and hold the NESA supervisor certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to travel across Sydney and the Hunter Valley as part of the role. There will also be the occasional visit to Chinderah (north NSW)
