Ready to make a real impact, build strong relationships, and help our Story House-ers shine? We’re on the lookout for a People Capability Partner (Part-time position) with heart, hustle and seriously good vibes. This is not your average learning and development role.
This role is all about connection. It’s about being the person leaders trust, educators feel supported by, and teams genuinely enjoy working with. While capability, compliance, and systems matter, your personality and ability to build strong relationships are what will make you shine.

Based at our Cannon Hill Support Office, you’ll also hit the road regularly across QLD, VIC and NSW building relationships, supporting services, and bringing the Story House spirit wherever you go.
If you love cheering people on, supporting growth, and bringing calm clarity to busy days, you’ll fit right in at Story House.
Across roughly 60 services and 2,000 team members, Story House Early Learning is building a connected, inclusive and joy-filled community where educators, families and children feel supported to grow.
What you’ll be doing (the heart of the role)
People Development
You’ll lead and champion programs that help our people grow, including some of the below:

- Bring celebrations, recognition moments and cultural events to life
- Support ongoing engagement with our annual internal events calendar
Operational Support & Compliance
- Guide leaders to understand and apply policies, National Law, and Regulations
- Ensure employee records, qualifications, and goal plans remain compliant
- Assist with the transition to digital tools and paperless processes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the network

- Bring positivity and a “let’s figure it out” mindset
- Are confident making decisions and owning outcomes
- Love coaching and helping people grow
- Enjoy supporting leaders and teams across different locations
- Are tech savvy and can navigate multiple systems with ease
- Keep things organised without losing your warmth or humour
- Want to shape capability and culture across our entire SHEL network
Bring your spark to a place that empowers you, celebrates you and supports you to make meaningful impact every day.
Who We Are
- Committed to a culture of respect and inclusivity.
- We don’t just welcome you as you are, we celebrate you for your diversity, differences and history.
